Install ReadBoard

The Chrome Web Store listing is being prepared. Automatic store updates will be available after approval. Until then, install the manual Free ZIP.

  1. Download and extract the ZIP to a folder you will keep.
  2. Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode and choose Load unpacked.
  3. Select the extracted folder that contains manifest.json. Pin ReadBoard in Chrome's extensions menu.
  4. Open a normal article and click the ReadBoard toolbar icon. Preview, then save.

For manual updates, export a backup, replace files in that same folder and click Reload on the extension card. ReadBoard does not download executable updates itself. Removing the extension or moving to another profile can remove local data.

Requires Chrome 120+ desktop. Check compatibility.
